There is no cutting, piling, hauling, and burning: the Bull Hog does it all in one step, which is why forestry mulching has become the standard for fast, low-impact land clearing.

hydraulic flow, its horsepower, and the mulching head that matches both. Getting this right is the
difference between a mulcher that powers through dense material and one that bogs down.
Hydraulic Flow.
This is the most important spec. Standard-flow machines pair with the Bull
Hog Standard Flow head, which handles brush and smaller material well. High-flow machines unlock the
High Flow and Blackhawk heads, which deliver the extra hydraulic power needed to mulch standing trees
and dense growth quickly. Always match the head to your machine's flow rating first.
Horsepower.
More horsepower means more mulching capacity. As a general guide, 70 or
more horsepower handles moderate brush and small trees, while 100 or more horsepower suits heavy-duty
land clearing and larger standing timber. The Blackhawk and larger excavator and tractor heads are built
for the high-horsepower end.
Head and Machine Type.
Bull Hog drum mulchers are built for skid steers and compact track loaders,
excavators from 3.5 to 45 tons, and tractors from 150 horsepower up. The drum design, a rotating drum
set with cutting teeth, mulches material finely and consistently, which is why it is the standard for
forestry work over faster but coarser disc mulchers.
