BRUSH CUTTER MINI SKID
The Red Line mini skid steer brush cutter brings serious clearing capability to compact equipment, helping crews cut through brush and overgrowth without stepping up to a larger machine. Some crews call it a mini skid steer brush hog or a mini brush mower. Same job, same machine. It cuts material up to 4 inches on 10 to 20 GPM, so it fits the low-flow hydraulics of most mini skid steers and compact tool carriers. Built with a direct drive design and a service friendly layout, it is made for straightforward operation and dependable performance. It is a great fit for tight access jobs where speed and maneuverability matter: trail clearing, fence lines, pasture edges, and vegetation work around buildings and landscaping where a full-size machine cannot reach. Clearing and gathering? Pair it with the Red Line mini skid brush grapple or mini skid log grapple. Running a full-size skid steer instead? See the Red Line skid steer brush cutter.

Frequently Asked Questions
A brush cutter and a mulcher are different tools. This mini skid steer brush cutter cuts brush, grass, saplings, and small trees up to 4 inches and drops the material where it falls, which is ideal for trail clearing, fence lines, pasture edges, and property maintenance. A mulcher grinds material into fine chips, which takes far more horsepower than a mini skid steer produces. If you need true mulching, you are looking at a full-size skid steer and a Bull Hog mulcher rather than a mini machine. Tell us the job and we will point you to the right setup.
The BC44 runs on 10 to 20 GPM of hydraulic flow, which suits the low-flow systems on most mini skid steers and compact tool carriers, and it uses a universal mounting surface. Send us your machine’s make and model and we will confirm the fit before you buy.
It handles grass, weeds, brush, and saplings up to 4 inches in diameter, depending on hydraulic flow and material. It is built for clearing overgrowth and light-to-medium brush in tight spaces, not for processing large standing timber.
The mini BC44 is a single 44-inch model built for mini skid steers and their lower hydraulic flow. The full-size Red Line skid steer brush cutter comes in 60 and 74-inch models for machines from 50 to 135 horsepower and handles material up to 6 inches. If you run a full-size skid steer, that is the better fit.
