BRUSH GRAPPLE MINI SKID

The Red Line mini skid steer brush grapple turns a compact loader into a material-handling tool. The BG48 is built light on purpose: at 48 inches and 350 lbs it grabs brush, limbs, logs and debris without eating up the lifting capacity of a mini skid steer or compact tool carrier the way a full-size grapple would. It fits through gates and doorways a full-size machine cannot, so you can clean up in tight access areas and still haul a serious load. Its open-tine design lets dirt and small debris fall through, so you haul brush and logs instead of a bucket of soil, and the strong clamping force secures bulky, uneven material that standard attachments cannot. Because it is sized and weighted for a mini machine, you keep more of your loader’s rated operating capacity for the load itself. Designed for contractors, landscapers, farmers, and land management professionals, it improves productivity and safety by reducing manual handling during cleanup work Running a full-size skid steer? See the full-size Red Line brush grapple with the 84″ BG84. Handling mostly logs? The mini skid log grapple is purpose-built for that. Clearing standing brush first? Pair it with the mini skid brush cutter.

Frequently Asked Questions

The BG48 is built for mini skid steers and compact tool carriers. It uses a standard mount and runs off your machine’s auxiliary hydraulics. Mini machines vary in rated operating capacity, so the most important check is that your loader can lift the 350 lb attachment plus your intended load. Send us your make and model and we will confirm the fit and the mount before you buy.

Weight. A full-size grapple is heavier, and on a compact loader that weight comes straight out of your lifting capacity and can overload the arm. The BG48 is sized and weighted for mini machines, so you keep more capacity for the actual load, and its narrower 48-inch width fits through gates and doorways a full-size setup cannot. If you run a full-size skid steer, the 84-inch BG84 on our full-size brush grapple page is the better tool.

This is an open-tine brush grapple: the gaps between the tines let dirt and small debris fall through, so you move brush and logs and leave the soil behind. A root grapple has shorter, soil-penetrating tines for digging roots and stumps out of the ground. A grapple bucket has a solid bottom that holds everything including dirt, better for loose material like gravel. For picking up and moving cut brush, limbs, and logs on a compact machine, the open brush grapple is the right tool.

The BG48 has a 48-inch working width and a 38.5-inch jaw opening, with dual independent lids that clamp each side of an irregular load separately for a secure grip. It is built for brush, limbs, logs, and storm debris, not for digging or for loads beyond your loader’s rated capacity.
