Fecon Compact Stumpex Wins Rental Magazine Editor’s Choice Award

(Lebanon, OH) Fecon LLC announces that their innovative Compact STUMPEX, a slow speed, high-torque auger style stump grinder has been awarded the prestigious Editor’s Choice Award from Rental Magazine. The awards recognize the 30 construction products that have made the biggest impact on rental equipment professionals over the past year. The 2021 Editor’s Choice Award winners were chosen by Rental magazines editorial team based on several factors including innovation, utility for the rental market, and audience engagements as measured by clicks, page views, and inquiries on ForConstructionPros.com/Rental. The Compact STUMPEX and other Editor’s Choice Award winners will be featured in the August/September issue of Rental magazine.

“This award means so much because it combines what the editors think of the product and how readers – those who it was designed for – have reacted to it,” said Fecon VP of Dealer Development Mike Kucharski. “The Compact STUMPEX was engineered to help contractors improve their operations in the field. The recognition validates our product development efforts which is gratifying to everyone involved.”

Designed specifically for Compact Utility Loaders like the Toro Dingo, Bobcat, and others, the Compact STUMPEX’s high torque eradicates stumps of any species from 4 to 11 inches in diameter in a single plunge (those greater than 11 inches may require multiple plunges). Slow auger speed ensures a safer work environment with faster clean-up. It is ideal for Compact Utility Loaders with 10-20 GPM of hydraulic flow, and 2,000 to 3,000 PSI. This unique product features a powerful robust drive which generates up to 4,000 ft.lbs of torque to tackle any species of wood. The Compact STUMPEX is ideal for rental facilities, property managers/landowners, farmers, landscapers, tree service companies/arborists, municipalities, parks & recreational facilities, and others seeking to safely remove stumps using a Compact Utility Loader.

A hardened auger cone ensures positive draw into the stump, while stepped blades of ½” thick durable AR500 material rotate at slow speeds which is far safer than conventional stumpers. The low rpm auger bit leads to easy work site clean-up without flying debris that is inherent with conventional stumpers. There are no carbide tips to replace, and no flying projectiles, making the Compact STUMPEX a safer, low-maintenance approach to stump removal.
